Driving mode select switch The driving modes can be selected to suit the driving and usage conditions. Normal mode Sport modeSelecting a driving mode Modes can be changed by pressing the “ DRIVE MODE” switch. (The mode changes each time the switch is pressed.) The preferred mode can be selected from the driving modes displayed on the multimedia display or multi-information display. “ ECO” “ SPORT” “ CUSTOM” NORMAL mode Suitable for normal driving. ECO mode Suitable for driving to improve fuel economy by more smoothly generating torque in response to accelerator pedal operations compared to normal mode and restraining air conditioning system operations (heating/cooling). Eco drive mode indicator illuminates. SPORT mode Controls the steering feeling and hybrid system to create an acceleration response that is suitable for sporty driving. Suitable for when crisp handling is desired, such as when driving on mountainous roads. Sport mode indicator illuminates. CUSTOM mode Allows you to drive with the power train, steering and air conditioning system functions set to your preferred settings. Custom mode settings can only be changed on the drive mode customization display of Multimedia Display. (Driving Mode Select switch) When the Custom mode is selected, Custom mode indicator comes on. Note: Air conditioning system operation in Eco drive mode In Eco drive mode, heating/cooling operations and the fan speed is controlled to improve fuel efficiency. Perform the following procedures to increase the air conditioning performance. Turn eco air conditioning mode off (Eco air conditioning mode) Adjust the fan speed (Setting the fan speed) Cancel Eco drive mode The following driving modes are automatically deactivated and the driving mode returns to normal mode when the power switch is turned to OFF. Sport mode Custom mode The following driving modes are not deactivated until another driving mode is selected. (Even if the power switch is turned to OFF, the mode will not be automatically deactivated.) Normal mode Eco drive mode Customization The custom mode can be changed.
